Checkout Complete Recipe

Anim8 - your Avurudu and everyday printer - brings you KIRIBATH.

Kiribath (milk rice) is the classic Sri Lankan dish for any special occasion, or anytime really. Especially for Avurudu. And you can't have it without some spice, like the accompanying lunu miris. Here's a recipe.

The Kiribath

  • Rice - 1.5 cups
  • Coconut Milk - 1.5 cups
  • Water 1.5 cups
  • Salt - 1 tsp

  1. Bring water to a boil
  2. Add rice and let boil for 15 minutes
  3. Add salt
  4. Once rice is cooked, add coconut milk
  5. Stir and cook for 10 minutes
  6. Serve on a plate and shape as desired. Go crazy, make it a bunny rabbit
  7. Slice
  8. Eat

The Lunu Miris

  • Red onion - one
  • Chili flakes - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Lime - 1/2

  1. Chop onions
  2. Place in mortar (or bowl if you must)
  3. Add chili flakes
  4. Add salt
  5. Add lime
  6. SMASH (with pestle, or whatever you have)
  7. Eat

This is really a quite simple recipe, but ever so good. Tell us if you know any variations or have any tips.
