The Full Stop has the highest quality stationery in Colombo, at the highest price. If you want regular paper or a few pens and exercise books, your local stationer or someplace like Sarasavi is a better bet. If, however, you want a long-lasting moleskine or some fancy-glide pens that make you feel more productive for the one-week before you lose them, then Full Stop is the place.
The Full Stop is in the Crescat Mall, a place which is seeing a sorta resurgence (in our eyes at least) with the opening of the happening Sugar Bistro therein.
We were walking down from there when we wandered in to the Full Stop, ostensibly to buy some poster board (which they didn’t have in our color) and we stayed to linger at the sexy but insanely expensive moleskines and pens and stuff.
As an example, the highly desirable moleskine daily planner costs Rs. 2,300 abouts, if memory serves correctly. They had an A4 sized moleskin that cost upwards of 7k. These are luxury imported products, high quality notebooks for multiple uses, but still. They had some cheaper copycats called DayCraft as well.
Besides that the Full Stop has an admirable selection of pens, binders, etc, all of the highest quality, but highly priced. Me personally, I spend inordinate attention getting high quality office supplies as a sort of procrastination to actually working, and Full Stop is where you get the best.
That said, for anything besides Moleskines (of which they have the best selection) you can get good enough quality for much cheaper elsewhere.
