The newest addition to the watering hole scene in Battaramulla area, Urban Grill does some awesome Devilled Prawns dish, which is the perfect accompaniment for a chilled mugful of beer. They allow BYOB too, but it's entitled to a corkage fee.
Mintage Restaurant (Kotte)
The good old Mintage has a new branch in Kotte now. They have room for improvement in their drinks department, but in terms of food, it doesn't disappoint. Especially the Hot Butter Cuttlefish, which was still as good as we remember. No booze is served here though.
JARS
If you're not planning to step out during this weekend, but looking for a way to satisfy your sweet tooth, check out JARS, a home-based venture that whips up good cheesecake jars. We absolutely enjoyed all 3 cheesecakes we tried from them – Kahlua, Blueberry and Caramel.
