Such is a wild and crazy guy who’s got a smoker and various meat technologies that enable him to make a whole range of pork products – bacon, ham, pulled pork, etc.
We’ve been following Such’s forays into pork products for a while and we think he’s getting it right. His Fat Guy BBQ does a range of pork products, of which we most recently tried the ham (Rs. 3,250 per kg).
It’s good. Nice cuts of meat (from a good butcher in Battaramulla), well smoked, flavorful, tasty. Really good. We’ve also tried the bacon (Rs. 2,600 per kg) in the past and he offers pulled pork (Rs. 5,000 per kg), and roast pork (Rs. 4,000 per kg). He also does ribs and other stuff in season.
There honestly isn’t too much more to say about it. If you want real pork products, Fat Guy BBQ does them. As long as you don’t mind the smoky taste that comes with, well, smoking meat, it’s a tasty and authentic choice.
