Restaurants Serving Diwali Special Meals in Colombo 2018.

Diwali/Deepavali, also known as the festival of lights, is one of the most auspicious and popular festivals celebrated by the Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains across the world. It marks the victory of Light over Darkness; Good over Evil.

The celebration of Diwali includes lighting traditional earthen diyas (candles), displaying large fireworks, colorful rangoli artworks and families sharing food and goods among each other and to those in need.

So, in order to make this festival more exciting, here we have compiled a list of places that serve up Diwali themed meals/buffets in Colombo.

Agra

Tucked in next to Independence Square, Agra one of Colombo's high-end Indian restaurants, serves up some superb North Indian fare. For this year's Diwali, they've come up with an interesting selection of festive food. You can opt for a three-course meal (starter, main, and dessert).

The festive special starters section has Hariyali Tikka and Makai Panner Tikki, while the mains collection is comprised of Lucknowi Biriyani, Calicut Biriyani, and Subzhi Handi Biriyani. On the sweet side of things, they've included Moong Dhal Halwa, Semiya Kheer, and Jalebi for you to munch on during this celebration of the festival of lights. These dishes are available during 5th – 10th of November.

Thalis
