Branas is a supermarket on the third floor of the Kollupitiya Market building – it’s quite similar to Beemas next to it – it’s got a whole load of imported stuff from mostly Australia, Dubai and Italy. It’s a cool place for imported snacks, quality chips and candy for very reasonable prices.
Brana’s is older than Beemas and has a long history and relationships with customers. It’s physically a bit bigger and they probably have more stuff overall.
Some highlights here, they have a wall full of hygiene and grooming products (deodorants, gels, fancy soaps), a aisle full of cleaning products and a good range of foods. That means biscuts, candies, sauces (lots of sauces), etc.
They’re right next to Beemas which sells similar stuff. We recommend checking them both out to find goods you’d otherwise have to import.
