Vaishi is a small clothing store down Thimbirigasyaya Road. They specialize in children's clothes, but they have some stuff for adults as well.
For Children
I'm going to start off by saying that there's a bigger collection of dresses and frocks than anything else in this shop (which can be a good thing, depending on what you're looking for). The dresses are for children aged from 1-12 and they have a variety of patterns and colours to choose from. They have everything from party frocks to home wear available and prices range from Rs. 800 to Rs. 2000.
They have a small section devoted to printed t-shirts and shorts, and a separate section for pyjamas, some of which come with characters printed on them. The prices differ from Rs. 600 to Rs. 1000. If you dig around, I'm sure you'll find some great clothes for really good prices.
Aside from the clothes, you get a few toys for sale as well. Lots of Frozen merchandise, if your children are still into it. There are lunch boxes, water bottles and other school supplies. They also have printed towels, for Rs. 650.
For Adults
There isn't much for adults because Vaishi's main focus is children's clothing. However, there is a corner allocated for Men and Women's clothing. For men, they have a rack of linen shirts and some patterned sarongs. And for women, there is a section with kurtas and dresses.
One thing I really liked was that they have they have plain colored t-shirts for Rs.650 in a variety of sizes.
Location and Staff
Vaishi is situated in a very convenient location, just on top of Thimbirigasyaya Road. They have enough parking to host about 10 cars, which is not a bad deal. While the actual premise is small, they have a lot to offer.
The staff there is extremely helpful. If you do not need assistance, they'll leave you alone but if you do need help they'll tag along and help you find everything you're looking for.
Conclusion
We recommend Vaishi to anyone who is looking for children's clothes. Especially party dresses. They are comparatively cheaper and have some great stuff to offer.
