7 Job roles of the future.

Trying to have a stable income while doing what you enjoy is one of the things most people look out for. 

In no proper order, here are a few that will help you and make your job-hunting process easier and stress-free. 

The following list includes job roles that may not be in demand in Sri Lanka at the moment, but will definitely be in demand in the future.

  1. Fitness Commitment Counselor 

As most of us have made our new year resolutions, staying fit and healthy definitely made it to the list. With everyone moving into the culture of trying to stay fit, there’s a market gap that needs to be filled. 

Knowing what to eat and what not to. And how to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle. All of these points need to be brought into a proper agenda. 

If you are a people’s person this would be the ideal job for you. While maintaining a positive relationship with your clients and encouraging them towards a healthier lifestyle you would also have to give individual attention to each and every client. Knowing when to prescribe or recommend the accurate physician or medication.

Having a background in personal fitness or even related to the nursing field would help you achieve this goal.  

  1. Cyber City Analyst

If technology is your choice of career, here’s something new to look into. A cyber city analyst monitors the security and functionality of data in organizations making sure all technical and transmission equipment functions without being compromised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remotely investigate data flow faults.
  • Test data flow and integrity
  • Secure data integrity.
  • Design and implement data solutions, are just a few to name.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Digital engineering qualifications
  • Lean start-up methodologies.
  • Ability to read analytics and visualization platforms
  • Understanding of design thinking
  1. Artificial Intelligence Business Development Manager

An Artificial Intelligence business development manager will develop and deploy effective and targeted programs to speed up broad-based sales and business development activities.

Working closely and coordinating with sales, marketing and partner teams are necessary in order to provide the artificial intelligence services to achieve goals and targets. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, build and deploy
  • Exhibit proactive ability and expertise
  • Develop a standard market intelligence framework
  • Prepare and provide business reviews 

Skills and Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • Business-level experience with AI/machine learning software platforms
  • Experience with cloud computing and/or related fields (IT, software, etc.).
  1. Data Detective

We live in a world where our day-to-day activities are revolving around technology. There are much more job opportunities developing in this industry. 

As a data detective you get to work with individuals and teams in order to generate accurate business responses from the investigation of data from devices, biometric monitors, sensors, computing infrastructure and many more.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine data
  • Find new sources of data
  • Ask questions of people
  • Write reports and present findings

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in law enforcement, ideally investigative work
  • Legal background, either as a trained attorney, lawyer, or paralegal.
  • Qualifications in math and/or general sciences
  • degree in math, a physical science, philosophy, economics, law or accountancy 
  1. Artificial Intelligent Assisted Healthcare Technician

While remote working is popular due to the pandemic most industries have adapted accordingly. Here’s another job role that will be rising up in the market. 

This role entails a combination of in-surgery work for patients and remote work for the most vulnerable.

This requires being comfortable to work around different software packages and testing equipment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Cycle from in-surgery days
  • Examine patients using digital tools
  • Build trusted relationships with patients
  • Travel to patients’ residences

  • Determine the profitability of each of the product group

Skills and Qualification

  • Ability to negotiate optimal financial terms and conditions from suppliers.
  • Ability to assess sales, profit, inventory investment, payment terms
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret information on sales 
  • An undergraduate degree with a specific focus in genomics
  1. Financial Wellness Coach

In the 21st century, we see a clear expansion in digital banking, micro-lending and bitcoin payments. The leakage of our finances is in abundance. Guiding your client on how to manage the day to day finances. And it’s not just individuals it could be multinational companies, that will be using this resource for better business performance.
